Taggart Tagatito became the latest Octane Champion to hold the belt for only less than a month, proving that this belt really does give an easy to hit target on the champion's back. Now, the man that must try to avoid the arrows is Dan Hayter. He pinned Tagatito to gain possession of his first gold in FTW, and now will try to be the only man since the first holder of the belt, Mason Douglas, to hold the title longer than a month. There's no notice on his first challenger, but he will have to step in the ring with the top dog this week, World Champion William Haze.
As far as challengers go, it seems like most of them are at square one with zero points. Only Chris Cage is in the positive numbers as he has four. Chances are that he could be the first challenger for Hayter barring an unforeseen circumstance. But with fifteen people in the division, it's almost a certainty that some will be called up to the Inferno and Shockwave divisions soon. Here are the rankings this week:
| QUOTE | Champion - Dan Hayter
Challengers
#1 - Chris Cage: 4 pts. T-#2 - *Bobby Heart: 0 pts. T-#2 - Damon Synn: 0 pts. T-#2 - Eric Hancock: 0 pts. T-#2 - Michael Miracle - 0 pts. T-#2 - Ripplemagne - 0 pts. T-#2 - Ryan Corey: 0 pts. T-#2 - Shane Sanders - 0 pts. T-#2 - Shane Tallin - 0 pts. T-#2 - Nathan Black: 0 pts. T-#2 - Taggart Tagatito: 0 pts. T-#11 - Bucky Skyler: -1 pt. T-#11 - Gordie James: -1 pt. T-#11 - P.K. Sterling: -1 pt. T-#11 - Wayne Ezra: -1 pt. #15 - Ace Centric: -5 pts.
*Due to indefinite absence because of injury, not eligible for title shots.

Last night, Rampage GM Mason Douglas announced that next week, there will be a title match on Rampage. As the preview of the card has already shown, three challengers topped the Octane Rankings, so Tagatito will have even less of a chance of walking out as Octane Champion then he did at Boiling Point.
Also, last night we saw the departure of Crow from FTW as Mason Douglas fired him for insubordination for striking a member of FTW management. Crow was already on his way out of the Octane Division, having defeated Ace Centric in an Inferno Prospects match, but now, it certainly seems that Crow has no future at all in FTW. Here are the rankings for this week, with some added faces:
| QUOTE | Champion - Taggart Tagatito
Challengers
T-#1 - Damon Synn: 4 pts. T-#1 - Dan Hayter: 4 pts. T-#1 - Eric Hancock: 4 pts. #4 - Chris Cage: 2 pts. #5 - Ryan Corey: 1 pt. T-#6 - *Bobby Heart: 0 pts. T-#6 - Nathan Black: 0 pts. T-#8 - Bucky Skyler: -1 pt. T-#8 - Gordie James: -1 pt. T-#8 - P.K. Sterling: -1 pt. T-#8 - Wayne Ezra: -1 pt. #12 - Ace Centric: -5 pts.

Last night, we saw Taggart Tagatito defend his Octane Title for the first time, and while he was put in a match where he had a two-thirds chance of losing and didn't have to involved in the decision to lose his title, Tag proved that he earned his claim to be champion when he pinned Nathan Black with less than 30 seconds left in the time limit to retain the title over Black and Peisinoe.
After the match, Eden Black came to the ring to make a statement, but from the news we've learned, she has been promoted to the Shockwave Division. We asked Rampage GM and Octane Division proprietor Mason Douglas how he felt about the change.
"It's certainly disappointing to lose the prospect of a good feud for the title, but at the same time, I think Miss Black proved that she's capable of handling herself against good competition."
Does this mean Douglas is starting to lower his stance on making the Octane Division a huge priority?
"What it means is that I'm starting to finally settle in a little more and realizing that while the Octane Division holds the future talent, you have to be able to look at what's directly in front of you as well. I respect Chad Jamison as a business man. He does what he feels is necessary to utilize talent.
"Perhaps I've become a little selfish. Granted, this doesn't mean my heart's warmed up to Jamison. I still think his ego's too big for his head. I look forward to doing a lot more with the Inferno Division. It'll be a great challenge to take on. That, and the World Title Division are where my main focus need to be. That doesn't mean I'm going to ignore the division I helped build."
It's also been announced that Crow and Ace Centric will have a chance to impress the Board and Douglas when they face off in an Inferno Prospects match. And while there have been many people promoted or let go from the Octane Division, the roster still continues to gather new and exciting talent, much of which you will see this coming week on Outbreak and Rampage. Here are the current Octane Title Rankings after Boiling Point:
| QUOTE | Champion - Taggart Tagatito
Challengers
T-#1 - Damon Synn: 2 pts. T-#1 - Dan Hayter: 2 pts. T-#1 - Eric Hancock: 2 pts. T-#1 - Ryan Corey: 2 pts. T-#5 - *Bobby Heart: 0 pts. T-#5 - Nathan Black: 0 pts. #7 - Crow: -2 pts. #8 - Ace Centric: -5 pts.
*Due to indefinite absence because of injury, not eligible for title shots

Rampage GM Mason Douglas sent in a quick word to FTW.com that pertains to the Octane matches at Boiling Point.
There may have been some confusion as it pertains to the card, however I want the Octane competitors to know, that with the exception of the title match of course, every Octane match in the preliminary card and the one non-title Octane match in the main card are indeed rankings matches. Sorry this wasn't put into the card.
OOC Note: The rule above the card is no joke to those of you in the preliminary card. If you no show, you are no longer on this roster, so at least RP once to save yourself from being gone. If you can't full-out RP for the show, let us know and try to at least put in a three-paragraph trash talking RP just to let us know you're committed to being here. That is all. Have a great day.

If you saw Rampage, then you know what these rankings look like. For those of you that missed Thursday, Rampage GM Mason Douglas revealed that the Octane Title match at Boiling Point would be a Triple Threat Match, with Taggart Tagatito taking on the top two contenders, Peisinoe, who defeated Crow Thursday night, and Nathan Black, who's been on a roll as of late after starting out poorly in FTW. Tagatito's championship advantage is no longer a factor at Boiling Point, which could make for some interesting wrestling.
Will Tagatito be able to claim that the title is truly his to keep? Will a woman in only her third match in FTW strike gold? Or will the biggest turnaround in the Octane Division hit the jackpot? Tune in to Boiling Point Wednesday, July 28th to find out. Here are this week's rankings:
